At JW, we are committed to advancing sustainable agriculture and meeting the unique demands of international markets. Our latest venture focuses on chili cultivation in Sooriyawewa, Hambantota, with a dedicated export strategy targeting the Maldivian market.

This LKR 8 million investment spans 3 acres of leased land over a 10-year period, utilizing cutting-edge agricultural techniques to ensure premium-quality chili production. By incorporating polytunnels and high-tech temperature-controlled greenhouses, we optimize growing conditions for maximum yield and quality.

With these advanced methods, we anticipate an average monthly production of 3,000 kilograms of high-quality chili, meticulously grown to meet the specific standards and preferences of Maldivian consumers.

Through this initiative, JW aims to reinforce its presence in the agricultural export sector while contributing to the growth of Sri Lanka’s agribusiness landscape.
